Deconstruction and reconstruction of your clothing with Nin Couts-Slater
Nin’s work is innovative and unique born out of her creativity, her knowledge of textiles, her construction abilities, her devotion to individuality and concern for our planet materialising as the hand crafted reinterpretation of bygone textiles. She is restyling my lifetime accumulation of vintage fabrics and nostalgic items into contemporary, wearable and functional art. Envisaging postmodern style she de-constructs then re-construct crafting funky and/or dramatic pieces. From the sublime to the ridiculous my creations include garments, collars, scarves, shawls, purses, pins and lots, lots more. My work is about regeneration, everything old is new again.
